Gencoast Construction Ltd. was established in 1989 in Qualicum Beach on Vancouver Island B.C.  Throughout the 90s most of our aquaculture industry work was done with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans which included rearing channels, fishways, river barrier fences, tank farm systems, etc.

By the late 90’s Gencoast was 100% established in the aquaculture industry (Hatchery systems) on Vancouver Island.  Gencoast grew with the Aquaculture Industry through the 2000s to the present time where we have worked for all three Major West Coast companies Mowi, Cermaq, and Grieg Seafood.

Throughout this period Gencoast has evolved into a Project/Construction Management Service Provider. Our General Contracting services include Civil work, underground/above-ground piping installation, concrete cast in place, installation of precast concrete/fiberglass tanks, equipment installation, etc. Our Project/Construction Management services include scheduling, budgeting, budget tracking, procurement, pre-project and design coordination, CAPEX/OPEX analysis, project constructability reviews, long-term operational reviews, etc.  Gencoast also provides HDPE fusion machines with Capabilities from ½”- 36” diameter, along with HDPE extrusion welding for custom requirements.

Gencoast is currently registered to do work in the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador, PEI, New Brunswick, and British Columbia.
